As a member of the Philadelphia Business Journal Leadership Trust, Mark Zinman, managing partner of Zinman & Company, and other business leaders were asked for their top strategy when searching for business vendors. Mark’s advice: “Prior to initiating a bid request with an outside vendor, whether formal or informal, determine the total scope of the project, as well as your budget and time requirements. Beyond that, clear communication helps set accurate and thorough expectations. Avoid over-generalizations that may result in a vendor underbidding on a project, only to request additional payment as the project unfolds.”
