Meet Katie

After graduating from Lady of Confidence Day School, Katie attended a program at SPIN, Inc. and started working three days per week in the food court of a local mall.  She let it be known to her job coach at SPIN, and everyone else she met, that she wanted to work five days per week. When Katie’s job coach heard that there may be an employment opportunity at Zinman & Co., he immediately scheduled an interview for her. She now enjoys working as a member of the Zinman team as office support.

Family Life: Youngest of four children, currently living with Mom and Dad in Huntingdon Valley, PA
Favorite Teams: All Philly teams
Favorite Music: Dance, country, and bluegrass
Other Interests: Plays harmonica with her dad, Fred Moore, in a bluegrass jam band. Special Olympics competitor in swimming, volleyball, and bowling.

Leadership

Katie is a Global Messenger for Special Olympics and has spoken about the benefits of Special Olympics from the athlete’s perspective at fundraising events, conferences, and on television.
